The theme of the gallery’s curated booth at the 2019 edition of Amsterdam International Art Fair was inspired by the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus and exhibited works by Luba Dalcolmo that blur the lines between art and design. The exhibit aimed to demonstrate a gradual transformation of painting subconscious thoughts on canvas into collages on paper. The series addressed some of Bauhaus’ key ideas such as bringing art back into society.
As a way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus, the theme of the gallery’s curated booth at the 2019 edition of Amsterdam International Art Fair is inspired by Bauhaus and exhibits works by Luba Dalcolmo that blur the lines between art and design. The exhibit aims to demonstrate a gradual transformation from painting subconscious thoughts on canvas in an abstract way to more three-dimensional collages on paper. The displayed series addresses some of Bauhaus’ key ideas such as bringing art back into society by connecting art to design.
