Luba Dalcolmo Studio & Gallery displayed designs based on collages by artist Luba Dalcolmo at the annual design fair Maison & Objet. The gallery participated as part of Maison & Objet’s Unique and Eclectic division.
With the medium of collage. Dalcolmo explores the relationship between colours and light and aims to bridge the gap between art and design. According to Bruno Munari, a designer “does not operate in nature, but within the orbit of production, and therefore his project will aim at a different kind of spontaneity, an industrial spontaneity based on simplicity and economy in construction”. Collage takes on a new meaning as a design object such as direct on textile.
